By the late 1990’s Glaxo was
the largest pharmaceutical company
in the UK, with numerous international
sites and a workforce that ran into
the thousands. With the year 2000
rapidly approaching Glaxo realised
that there was a huge inconsistency
internally regarding the type of
software and hardware that was being
used. This potentially disastrous
situation was addressed by standardising
all desktops and servers used by
head office, ensuring that the entire
workforce was brought up to the
same level of Y2K compliancy.
We
were commissioned to create a programme
of internal communications, which
informed staff of this compliance
and commitment to eliminating any
millennium bug. Working closely
with their internal IT teams we
created a strong visual campaign
to educate and prepare staff for
change as the company entered the
new millennium. |
